early bird theatricals was THRILLED to be a producer along with Mind The Gap Theatre on the smart and quirky comedy, THE AVERAGE-SIZED MERMAID by Jessica Fleitman as part of the The New York International Fringe Festival in August 2011!
The production was directed by Mind The Gap’s Artistic Director, Paula D’Alessandris (The Cleric at 59E59; Under The Blue Sky at The Kraine) and featured Dawn McGee*, Vinnie Penna*, Erika Meyers, David J. The creative team included Costume Designer Ghislaine Sabiti, Lighting Desinger Joyce Liao, Production Stage Manager Katy Moore, Movement Coach, Melissa Riker, Director of Business Development, Dana Fleitman, Graphic Desinger, Chris Espiritu, and Press Representative, Sam Morris.

In THE AVERAGE-SIZED MERMAID kindergarten teacher, Miriam Moselle magically transforms into a mermaid and unexpectedly finds herself the figurehead of a feminist movement. But when she begins to fall for an unconventional prince charming, she soon learns that you need to be careful what you fish for…
